Subject: Poverty Dialogue - April 24th 7:00 to 9:00 p.m Location: Metro Hall. Free.
This public discussion is on the issue of poverty and people who are labelled with an intellectual disability. Too often the issues effecting people with intellectual disabilities are left out of the important work that we do. You can be there to share your ideas, concerns, thoughts and/or just to listen.
This is also an opportunity to hear from people who are labelled directly - to share their stories about poverty and isolation - and actually be heard. I encourage all of you to invite as many people with an intellectual disability and/or family members as possible to share their stories in front of people who can make a difference in their lives.
This is an opportunity to be heard so please come out !
