Don't miss The Ex because you think it's too expensive! The Ex actually has one of the most generous disability discounts in the city.

BOTH the person with the disability AND their escort is applicable for free admission!

There is a bit of a limitation on the type of disability though.... The discount is offered at the discretion of the gate attendant, so they try to keep things simple for the attendant.

This double discount is available for people with visible disabilities only - such as the use of a wheelchair, or a person who is blind or visually impaired. And the escort will get in free only if it's obvious that the escort is required to help the person with the disability.

Even though the limitation is there, it is still a great discount, and actually makes The Ex affordable for families with special needs children.

And, it you have other children without special needs, you may also want to take advantage of Kids Toonie days - $ 2. admission on Monday August 20th, 2007 and Monday August 27th, 2007.

So go for it!

Animal policy has exceptions too
by: Anonymous

Thanks for the info! That's a big help.

Just so you know, the standard CNE policy is that animals are not allowed. However, an exception is made for people with a disability with a working dog. (I don't know of any other animals used as "workers"!)
