Halifax Youth launch an amazing book on coping with disability
Front of The Fountain Of Harmony
I want to bring to your attention a very exciting project developed by youth from Halifax with disabilities. Our youth participants successfully wrote, illustrated and produced this amazing Children’s book that offers an insider view of living with disability, bullying, equality, inclusion and overcoming obstacles.
The Fountain of Harmony was launched in March 2009 by the 4-youth participants as a community project. Upon publishing, reachAbility donated the book to agencies, schools and interested citizens. The book launch was so successful that it resulted in national recognition and requests far beyond the original run.
reachAbility is an award-winning and highly respected Charitable Organization servicing Nova Scotians with disabilities since 2000. They specialise in supporting persons with disabilities enter the workforce through a variety of educational and employment-focused program. Our goal is to ensure that persons with disabilities have access to equality so they may actively participate in all aspects of our community.
We are very proud to announce due to community demand that we are doing another run where we will provide the book at a reasonable fee offering volume discounts where applicable.
Please contact Tova Sherman the executive Director at reachability.org for more info and how you can order this great book.
