IDEAL-WAY was founded by Robert Pio Hajjar, born with Down syndrome.
Rob believes that persons with Down syndrome, Autism, etc., can write poetry as good as, or better than, mainstream individuals, in any style, on any subject.
Rob knows that his intellectually disabled peers are as deserving of multi-media publicity and world-class competition judging as anybody else.
We anticipate hundreds of entries from individuals with Down syndrome, Autism, etc. throughout Canada.
For Official Rules & Regulations and Official Entry Form, please visit us at www.ideal-way.ca
or contact Addie J. Daabous, Executive Director, IDEAL- WAY by email
or by telephone: 416-620-4500
SELECTED POEMS to be publicly read at the IDEAL WAY POETRY & MUSIC RECITAL, Fall 2009.
This opportunity will be a marvelous motivator for our learners. Hutton House in London, Ontario offers support to persons with disabilities, and just one of things we do is education. Contests are always popular and poetry allows such individual expression. Thank you.

Marvelous opportunity! by: Susan
Finally! My nephew, who has autism, will be over the moon when I tell him about the Ideal-Way Poetry Competition. He is a highly creative, and gifted, little boy, but until now he wasn't given the opportunity to submit his work.
Thank you for giving all intellectually disabled individuals throughout Canada the opportunity to shine!
