Need wheelchair ramp for my daughter
also a bigger bathtub

by Stacey L Papps
(Ontario Canada)

I am a single mother of 4 beautiful children my 14 yr old daughter has been diagnosed with rett syndrome as well as epilepsy.

She is totally dependent on myself for all her needs she is tube fed and does not walk or talk.

I am in desperate need for help with being able to build her a ramp outside as well as getting my bathroom made bigger to provide for her needs.

I also have an 11 yr old daughter who has OI (brittle bone disease) so this would help with both children.

I don't know where to go for this type of help as I have no family left to do anything.

If you could help or know where I could get help and how to go about it please let me know

thankyou

Hi Stacey. You certainly have your hands full!

To apply for funding for big ticket items, your best bet is either the President's Choice Children's Charity or perhaps the Jennifer Ashleigh Foundation.

In some cases, the
March of Dimes Canada
can also be helpful.

If other site visitors have more info, hopefully they will add it below.

Stay tuned to the disability financial assistance area as we will start to build that up with more funding options soon...

Hope that helps!

Ramps
by: Anonymous

Hi,
There's a company that offers free accessibility ramps for those who need it. They paint their logo on it so it acts as advertising for them. I can't remember what the company is called but Google free ramps ONTARIO and I'm sure you'll find it. They called me back promptly when I inquired for a ramp for my school.
Regards
Alley
