Occupational Therapy helps develop daily living skills
Who: Children with developmental disabilities
What: The Occupational Therapy program is designed for children and adolescents who need to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living, self-help, work and independence skills.
Occupational therapy is an individualized intervention that includes a three step process:
an individualized evaluation, where the client/family and licenced occupational therapist determine the individual’s goals;
a customized intervention to improve the person’s ability to perform daily activities and reach his/her goals; and
an outcomes evaluation to monitor progression towards meeting the client’s goals.
It is designed on a one-to-one basis in a home-based, community-based or centre-based environment. This program is offered in 6 week blocks with each session of one hour in duration.
Upon request, our Occupational Therapist can develop programs with close consultation and monitoring from one or more professionals of our multidisciplinary team, including our Behavior Analysts, certified teachers, speech and language therapists, and psychologists.

When: Between Monday to Friday 8am to 6:30pm and Saturday 10am-5pm.

Daily living skills (toilet training, dressing, brushing, grooming skills)
Fine Motor Skills (holding objects, handwriting, cutting)
Gross Motor Skills(riding bike, walking, running)
Sitting, Postures or Perceptual Skills (difference in shapes, sizes, colors)
