Leaders by Example

A traditional hands-on camp experience that helps build confidence, communication and life skills. This program is geared towards individuals 13 plus years old with ADD, ADHD, LD, dyslexia and dual diagnosis.

The focus of the program is to teach participants technical and practical work skills that will prepare them for future employment opportunities.

Through individual and group work, participants will learn how to effectively present themselves to future employers.

Topics include learning how to write a cover letter and resume and interview skills. Participants will also acquire practical work experience with a volunteer placement in a City of Vaughan day camp program, and learn the basic principles of First Aid and CPR.

Youth will get a chance to showcase their creative talents through arts & crafts, music, theatre and drama, and express their athletic side by playing sports such as soccer, basketball, bocce, and swimming.
